Wootton and Ventnor Eco-loos designed by Biggs Talbot Architects awarded 3 and 4 stars respectively as part of the national Loo of the Year scheme.

Works to refurbish building elements at Ryde Cemetery given the go-ahead after nearly three year delay with grant funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund and from the Isle of Wight Council. Construction works are anticipated to commence mid January 2010
